Synthetic Benchmarks: SuperPi & 7-zip

SuperPi runs very well on the Core 2 Solo nearly matching the performance of an overclocked desktop Athlon X2 5800+. Even the overclocked N270 takes almost twice as long to compute Pi to 1 million digits. SuperPi is single threaded like most software, and so it is pretty good indicator of how single applications will perform.

The overclocked N270 competes well with the SU3500 at compression and trounces it at decompression. Both look very slow compared to the old Brisbane. 7-zip is a highly threaded application that does take advantage of multiple cores and hyper threading.
